Retirement Plans
My article is featured in two other websites! Talk about bliss! Woooohoooo!!! :)
Yesterday I was asked what do I want to do after my retirement. The question took me by surprise for a while because I have never really thought about it. But I assume that I will never really stop working, although I do hope for more time to do what I really want to do, like writing a book and travelling, and picking up new hobbies to keep this mind occupied. I may perhaps migrate to a slower place where I always wanted to be, preferably one where I can be surrounded by nature. And I hope to remain open to learning and revision of ideas, being completely humble. The older you are, the more you are predisposed to be stubborn, basically. Of course, some core values especially Godly ones, must remain and even grow. Being an incredibly stubborn and hot-tempered person, I find this the greatest challenge and foresee that it will be a source of trial still.

Kura No Naka
It's been ages since I posted photos so here goes!
Friday night was spent dining at a Jap restaurant at Clarke Quay, Kura No Naka. Like its name, the restaurant was decorated like a traditional Japanese godown. The food was pricy but authentic, attracting mostly Jap expats. Here is the fried chicken and tofu mentai (fish roe) cheese, which I highly recommend:
Another on the highly recommended list, maguro (tuna) avocado salad:
My friend called this the best tempura in Singapore:

A view of the entrance. Apparently if you bring a baby stroller, you can press the doorbell and a friendly waiter will come down to help you carry it up!
Onigiri and garlic chicken.

Desseert was at Haato, which has branches in Meidi-ya and also Wheelock Place. Superb flavors! I am so in love with the sweet potato with chesnut flavor! I think I have a rather Asian taste when it comes to ice cream :)
