I admit it. Some of the values I adhere to should belong to the museum. I am not comfortable with the idea of travelling one-on-one with a member of the opposite sex, especially if he is interested in me. I think there is just a boundary within each and everyone of us about what we can take and what we can't. So pls just accept it and don't you go about intellectualizing it. It's just me. Influenced by my Father in Heaven.

I love reading Chinese song lyrics and Chinese poems. There is something about them that cannot be expressed in other languages. Somehow they touch at that inner core when you recite them when you are moved by a particular scenery, when your heart's been broken etc. I hate crappy modern Chinese pop lyrics that express things too directly. The words "我爱你" (I love you) and the like are simply too blatant and have been overly used to be of much meaning anymore. Don't you think that words such as "沧海桑田不怨相遇" (I do not mind crossing the oceans just to meet you) makes it a whole lot more poetic and beautiful? Ok, I think I'm not doing the translation justice. Non-Chinese readers probably still won't get what I mean. But hmm.

Anyway do check Jay Chou's song lyrics out. I think he's one of the rare artists in the Chinese pop music scene who is able to marry the beauty of Chinese phrases with modern tones.

Hello! Hello! It's been some time since my last posting and here I am sitting in the office, waiting for my ride hitch *sigh* Youtube is my best friend at such times. I am beginning to be one of those who seldom update my blog due to the demands of working life (not that it is particularly demanding as yet, but ok...). Sometimes, you are experiencing so much, yet when it comes to writing it all down... geesh!

Anyhow, work is still fine. I enjoy the flexibility here. However I don't know if I should be worried about the increasing merge in my working and social life. It's nice to find colleagues that you like hanging out with, but hmm...

Social life has been going a little downhill due to health reasons. Things are not looking too good in that department. Am praying for changes and breakthroughs, especially after a particularly alarming episode last week. Sigh. Trust and obey and pray. I suppose I am learning a thing or two from all these. Shikata ga nai.
