Andrew had kindly invited some of us to his house for a pizza cum sing song party today. Little did Sarah & I knew that it was actually his birthday party!!! Alamak....talk abt being embarrassed; we went empty-handed and were taking liberty with the food and stuff he so kindly served up!
But it was a rather fun session. We arrived early (tho not as early as Ching Ling) and saw his photos of his trip to Spain and Portugal. Woah....really envy him!!! I miss Europe so much. The photos reminded me of the lovely places that we went to last year. Sigh sigh. Perhaps some day I'll return to Europe again. Lucky Andrew!
Then we started the ktv proper. Andrew had refused to let Chinese songs be sung with his ktv set, but Sarah managed to persuade him :p For a while anyway, until Andrew declared that the time had come to switch back to Channel 5 hahahaah. Just u wait and see! When I organise another party at my house, there will be no English song allowed ;)
After a while, the guys presented Andrew his gift of a new mahjong set, which they put into use immediately, pleasing everyone with its "feel" and aroma (my goodness!), according to Mr. Chai himself.
Speaking of aroma, my church today served the pie made by that local entrepreneur, Don or something like that. Very delicious! Although some ppl found the ginger taste inside a bit strange, I like it lots and in fact have always wanted to try it out. Finally!
