It's National Day!!!

Happy birthday to my dearest bro, who turns 22 today! Hehe...for once he likes wat I gave him...a water bottle, which I figured out and he conceeded he will need when he goes to Aussie.

I oso had a great National Day eve, though a planned high tea at Goodwood Park Hotel had to be postponed becos we din know we had to make a booking in advance. A bit xianz cos I saw that there were actually a lot of seats at the Coffee Lounge, but since we were not the only ones turned down, I assume there would be a really huge grp coming. Nevertheless, Weifen and I had fun dining at Hoshigaoka at Isetan Scotts. When my thyroid is fully cured, I plan to have a Jap food and seafood buffet and everyone is invited to join me! Looking at the menu filled with sushi and sashimi made me drool but must have discipline!

Then we went for a bit of shopping cos got sales before I went to join e guys at NIE hall. Din get anything. I had almost no prob finding Keong and Boi Boi's hall despite the darkness at the time I arrived. The guys were already halfway thru their steamboat and everyone was in high spirits. So glad to see Lao Da again :) Pearl's lana cake and the mochi ice cream were sweet ways to end a great meal. Though I was there for such a short time, I felt very pleasant being there, with the guys showing off their domestic prowess, talking at the tops of their voices and the down-to-earth atmosphere of being in a hostel room once more. I oso realized to my greatest surprise that God has been healing my thyroid perfectly well, becos I no longer sweat easily, even in the stuffy atmosphere! Lalalala...God is good, all e time!

But I still like NUS better! Hhahaah...always find that NUS has more "life" than NTU...which struck me as being rather quiet esp at nite. My time in hall was always noisy, esp on nights when there were soccer matches hahahahah. Anyhow, I can't imagine studying in NTU if I dun stay in hall, becos it's just soooooo far! I took abt 1 and a half hour to reach home, but of course that's oso becos we went to Shizhi's aunt's house to return the broiler for a while. Did thot of dropping by Stephen's house to surprise him for a while hahahaah, but din in e end.

I oso bumped into Junxiang, my JC classmate while crossing the overhead bridge at MacRitchie! A whole stream of youngsters were coming out of Mediacorp, having finished watching Jie Dui Superstar...a rare sight, since in all my years of staying here, I have yet to see ppl streaming out like that. It's always a rather deserted place. But I'm glad! Haha I remembered we used to really hate Junxiang cos we thot he was a terrible flirt, but after being in e same class with him for 2 years, I realized that he is indeed one of the nicest guys in class, albeit the fact that he was always saying,"Jennifer is soooo chio!" Hmm I still dun like my JC years and I dun keep in touch with the frens I made from there somehow, but some ppl I do keep a civil acquaintance with. For some reason I just can't click with them. Perhaps I'll blog abt my time there some day. Even though it will prolly be a whining blog, but it was oso a time of great personal growth & that was oso when I bec a true born again Christian.

Oh I'm eating my flawed attempt at french toast now...heehee quite edible lar, but I din dare ask my aunt wat she thinks of it kekekekeeke.

Comments:
