Nostalgia
While going to see the doc today, my eyes were caught on this small shop beneath the HDB flats which sells all kinds of snack. Giggling, I asked my bro if he wanted to buy "tang tang". Browsing thru the rows of sweets and snacks reminded me of the time past when my bro and I as kids would look forward to doing the same thing. Not surprisingly, we chose "wang zai xiao man tou" which we used to crave as children. Too bad the shop doesn't have more stuff from the era gone by like Kaka or the Doraemon chocolate :) Living the great part of our childhood in Indonesia, we always used to look forward to coming to Singapore, where our cousins would bring us to mamak shops to buy just such snacks. This afternoon really brought back such nostalgia *sigh*
Oh yeah, kudos to my cute Mom for being the joke of the day! I saw her slathering on some stuff from a tube to her face and realized to my horror that it was not my moisturiser, but my hair gel!! Kekekekeke my lau ma said that well, they din label the product clearly. *Lol*
On yet another happy note, my bro is well...praise God! :)
There is a cricket somewhere outside my house now, chirping its pretty song of the night. It's rare in S'pore and I have always loved it. In Indonesia, esp at the countryside, u can still catch them during the night.
