Shoes and Cars

Remind me never again to buy shoes that are too big nor too small. Found the loveliest dark red pair of platforms two weeks ago, the sort that made you go, "I just gotta have it or I won't sleep tonight." The sweet salesgirl informed me that they didn't have one in my size and proceeded to help me call other branches while I crossed my fingers. Nope, it's all out. All out?!? I looked at my reflection wearing it longingly. To cut the story short, I bought it. One size too large. And spent the weeks after getting inserts to fill up what my three-inch-golden-lotus couldn't. Now it is slightly tight, but I am sure it will expand, soon. It better.

Ok I have never had issues with undergrads driving to school till coming here. I know that more parents can probably afford to pay for their zippy little four-wheelers, but I think indiscriminate parking is plain inconsiderate. Just because it is free parking (for now at least) does not mean that you can block other people's exit just because it happens to be nearest to your classroom and that you are running late (another greatest ironies of driving something that is supposed to get to somewhere in the quickest possible time).
