Channel Newsasia interviewed some bloggers the other day. One fashion blogger mentioned that blogs with a specific theme, such as food or fashion, garner higher readership than personal blogs. Indeed,most of my friends appear to have stopped blogging altogether. And this blog of mine is sporadically updated and is getting more and more incoherent with the passage of time. Have I ever considered not blogging ever? Yes. But I still need some sort of an outlet and I prefer typing to writing (which explains my increasingly illegible handwriting), so this still exists.

I celebrated my 30th birthday in a pleasant manner last week. My Lasik surgery went well and my eyes are healing nicely now. No more specs and contact lenses! The feeling is liberating. Had always hated my bespectacled look. Some girls actually look hot with specs; especially those dark-rimmed kind. I decided to go for Lasik assessment because I was so darned fed up with my orange-rimmed specs, which badly limited my wardrobe choice. It's either Lasik or I would have gone to buy a new pair of specs, something dark brown or tortoiseshell that would go seamlessly with my entire wardrobe. Thankfully the doc deemed me a positive candidate and I had it done the same day. Whoots!

Also had some nice birthday treats by Bro, cousins, colleagues and DH.
