I'm due to start work next week and still have not seen my offer letter in its concrete form. This endless search, waiting and making sure my rights as employee are met for the past 2 years had been tiring and this seems like it's not gonna end. Why don't employers treat potential employees as valued acquired goods anymore? Why the hide-and-seek whenever we ask about the most basic documents? I am tired of being treated like somebody unworthy of bureaucratic attention. I am tired of being told off for something I did not do wrong for, just because someone with close connection with those "up there" needs to cover her derierre. If it wasn't because I need to fund my flat and trying to wait upon God's promises, I would have taken an entrepreneurial offer. Just when I thought I am landing on safe harbour again, it seems like I may be wrong. Again.
