Mumbai Carnage

I have been following up on the attacks in Mumbai and the sentiment is one of deep sadness. What went on the minds of these young men as they went on pumping bullets into the bodies of hapless fellow human beings? The accuracy of the movement, the speed in which it took place and the sheer cold-bloodedness of the operation was almost like something out of the worst violent movie. At times, my indignance reached its height and I feel like murdering the gunmen with my bare hands.

But evil breeds more evil. Last night I was suggesting some ways in which we could "torture" someone we mutually dislike to Mister, all in the spirit of fun. I used the examples of the torture methods administered towards captured Vietcong soldiers that I saw in HCM's War Remnants Museum. But his gentle words suddenly stopped me. What am I thinking? Doesn't violence first stem from thoughts? So, thank you, Lord, for nipping me in the bud :)
